3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ebone1988 (113) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - NOV 15, 2012Aroma is nutty, large hazelnut notes. Appearnce is a beautiful golden brown, two-finger beige head. Taste is light to start, typical brown ale flavor, finishes nicely with a hazelnut and bitter flavor. Mouthfeel is average. Overall, I’m a bit disappointed, I was expecting more flavor, overall.

Mixed six from Total Wine. Brown color with a foamy, off-white head. Nutty and chocolate aroma (yum!). A bit of sweetness with a nice lingering hazelnut flavor. Very tasty.

A - Pours a hazy brown/garnet body with a tan head that forms a solid collar of bubbles.
S - Honey, bran cereal, caramel, graham crackers, bready malt, brown bread.
T - Brown bread crust, honey kissed cereal grains, sweet rice, roasted cane sugar, soft hazelnut and bits of light toffee, minor hop bitterness.
M - Smooth, creamy, medium bodied.
Very focused flavors here. Delicate yet refined. Good texture and very enjoyable on any occasion.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 fezzy (44) - California, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Sweet, nutty malt nose, which forms the backbone of the flavor profile with lots of chocolate and vanilla notes and un-shy use of hazelnut. While it seems clearly contrived (adding extract to the brew instead of using it in the boils seems contrived to me), the hazelnut blends wonderfully into this beer and makes it unique and extra-tasty. Enough hopping, floral and aromatic, to balance nicely. Recommended.

A very nice nut brown. Pours a dark brown amber color with a white head. Smells of hazel nuts, caramel and vanilla. Taste is similar. Lots of nuts and vanilla. Had at BottleRock in Napa.

There's a great mouthfeel on this one. You smell hazelnut more than taste, which is exactly how I like a hazelnut beer to behave!!!

Bomber bottle. Aroma is a nutty, maltiness. The appearance is brown with a little head and lacing. The taste starts out dark malt and rolls into a good brown flavor. A nice sweetness with some bitterness at the end. The palate is very carbonated and a tongue coating film. Overall, a great brown. Will buy again.

My standard bearer for a nut brown ale. Dark brown minimal head. Toasted malts, caramel, and toasted nuts. Flavor follows with plush body and nice hazelnut sweetness.
