Bottle - 650ml. Pours a dark brown hazy body with ruby glints and a decent beige frothu head. Wonderful hoppy aroma with malty, oaky, fruity and toffee hints. Sharp, complex hoppy taste. It carries fruity, nutty, roasty and subtle chocolate notes. Alcohol is well dissimulated. Ends with a long bittersweet finish. Awesome Brown Ale!

22oz morimoto bottle. Pours a dark rich brown color with a light off white head. Nose is tons of chocolate and hazlenuts, almost has like a peanutbrittle or peanutbutter feel to it. Taste is more of the same, lots of chocolate, toffee, and tons of nuts. very creamy mouthfeel that makes your mouth very happy.

22 oz bottle. Clear purple brown with a latte head. Nose like a coffee ice cream shake with distinct toasted hazelnuts. Creamy with a bubbly tang, this time reminding me of egg cream. Taste is hazelnut and sour raisin with touches of mocha. The nuttiness is a perfect fit for this brew.

Thick and creamy head sits on a red/brown colored beer. Malty sweetness with a little nuttiness. Nutty sweetness also in the aroma.

Pour is a brown with a creamy tall head. The aroma and taste are extraordinary. Just plain outstanding. A sipping beer to be sure, but totally delicious.

Tap at Andy’s. Real nice clear brownish red color with a tan head. Nutty, malty aroma. Flavor of hazelnut carmel and rich malt. A little to the sweet side.

This is a delicious beer. The aroma is pure sweet hazelnuttiness as is the flavor. Very understated hops. Just a hint of rootbeer on the finish.

Nice solid hazelnut dark brown in color, how fitting, thin but firm creamy dark ivory head, faded fast to leave a skim always present and lace in thin sheets. Aroma is a light roasty chocolate and hazelnuts, with a hint of coffee, quite appetizing. Taste is rockin' smooth of chocolate tones and hazelnuts, slightly roasty and a touch of quick sweetness. Nice airy nut-like dryness in the finish. Nice creamy medium body, way smooth, quite nice and easy, makes for excellent drinkin'. The only thing is that its over to fast, but man its good! Another top notcher by Rogue. Morimoto version- I couldn't tell much difference between this and the other hazelnut brew Rogue makes except it seems to have more extractness to it. Nice solid dark brown color with some dark orangey glowing edges, thin but firm creamy dark ivory head, faded off slowly, lace in small spots. Smell is light roasty chocolate and a big time hazelnut extractness to it, some wiffs have more hazelnut then others where others were nearly empty. Taste is about as smooth as the other hazelnut beer with some lightly favorable chocolate tones and hazelnuts, slightly roasty and a touch of quick sweetness. Nice airy nut-like dryness in the finish, yet stays sweet. Perhaps a bit too much in that regards. Again with some sips the extract is more evident then others. Seemingly off a bit comparingly to the original. Still, a nice creamy medium body encompasses it while it maintains an overall smoothness and drinkability. Good, but the extract stood out a bit too much then what the original portrays. However, it is quite nice and wouldn't turn it down for nothing and; albiet it's a bit one dimensional.
