UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Bottle: Swampy brown with a copper edge tint, light clarity & light haze throughout; a soapy, beige head stretched out thinly on top. Aroma is full force sticky toffee, more so than hazelnut even. Actually only a very mild hazelnut tone in the aroma. Slightly artificial, like concentrate with an undertone of residual sweetness. Off-notes of wet cardboard & dry rot... What? Is this oxidized already? Hazelnut is more relevant on the palate... Hazelnut, cola, toffee, dry cocoa powder, & nuts, leading into a lasting woodsy & earthy finish. I’m getting that weird, wet cardboard flavor & it’s really turning me off. Not as sweet as I was expecting... Rather dry, nutty aftertaste. Wasn’t a huge fan of this one... Not sure what that cardboard was all about. I’d like to try another bottle to see if things are different, but I won’t be rushing to do so.

Pours a rich brown from a bottle. Aroma is of a nice light chocolate hazelnut, flavor is more of a hazelnut with caramel. Nice, a little thin. Good beer.
