2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 TheShepherds (19) - chapel hill, North Carolina, USA - FEB 16, 2013We didn’t like this at all. Very nice nut flavor but quickly overwhelmed by this sweet, acidic yuck taste. One of our least favorite beers! Use caution before buying! You have been warned!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Kosmokrator (291) - ITALY - MAY 19, 2013
Limpido color rubino con un velo di schiuma beige. Al naso sentori di nocciole, mandorle tostate, avena e zucchero caramellato; gusto equilibrato, dolciastro con nocciole, malto abbrustolito, riso soffiato e un velo di toffee, finale persistente, amarognolo e gentilmente luppolato. Corpo medio-lieve, frizzantina, setosa, dissetante e piacevole: molto buona!

Mixed six from Total Wine. Brown color with a foamy, off-white head. Nutty and chocolate aroma (yum!). A bit of sweetness with a nice lingering hazelnut flavor. Very tasty.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 fezzy (44) - California, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Sweet, nutty malt nose, which forms the backbone of the flavor profile with lots of chocolate and vanilla notes and un-shy use of hazelnut. While it seems clearly contrived (adding extract to the brew instead of using it in the boils seems contrived to me), the hazelnut blends wonderfully into this beer and makes it unique and extra-tasty. Enough hopping, floral and aromatic, to balance nicely. Recommended.

A very nice nut brown. Pours a dark brown amber color with a white head. Smells of hazel nuts, caramel and vanilla. Taste is similar. Lots of nuts and vanilla. Had at BottleRock in Napa.

There's a great mouthfeel on this one. You smell hazelnut more than taste, which is exactly how I like a hazelnut beer to behave!!!
