Thin on the tongue, but very nutty, slightly creamy. Pours a dark brown, small head. Slightly roasty, more on the malt side, no discernible hop. Pretty complex on the nose. Fizzy carbonation, but not overly fizzy, and smooth on the front of the tongue. A little peaty when you wash it around in your mouth. (Bottle Pour 5/8/2008)

Aug 18, 2008 The upfront hazelnut flavor is well blended with chocolate malts and light bitterness. It’s a nut brown ale running on all cylinders. A great beer to share with friends.

Aug 14, 2008 Over-carbonated hazelnut flavored soda water. Very thin and watery for a beer of this color. Too lively and bubbly on the tongue. Not at al drinkable or enjoyable, this one went down the drain pretty fast.

does not count  Aug 10, 2008 Everything about this beer is marvelous - nutty aroma, lush, rich, smooth mouthfeel, and complex, nuanced flavors. We love Rogue’s bigger stuff, and this is right up there with the Chocolate Stout in my book. Just plain yummy stuff.

Aug 10, 2008 (Bottle). Very sweet mocha aroma. Dark reddish brown with a light tan head. Flavor is sweet malty nuts. Delicious at first, but after a few sips I found myself having had enough.

Aug 9, 2008 22 oz bottle. Clear purple brown with a latte head. Nose like a coffee ice cream shake with distinct toasted hazelnuts. Creamy with a bubbly tang, this time reminding me of egg cream. Taste is hazelnut and sour raisin with touches of mocha. The nuttiness is a perfect fit for this brew.
