One of the best rogue beers. This beer was extremely creamy, with a tasty chocolate, hazelnut and caramel flavor. And if you don’t like a good amount of bitterness in your beers (I do to a degree), this beer will do it for you. Very smooth going down. I will definitely try again.

On tap at the Vega Lounge. Brown pour with an off white head. Nutty/malty aromas. Big nutty/earthy notes with a bitterness from the roasted malts and sweet honey/brown sugar/caramel notes. Quite a lot going on here. Not a big body and somewhat artificial tasting. But all in all it’s not as bad as the rating reflect.

Bottle. Amber, hazy, small to average and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, caramel and some artificial like (hazel)nut. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some caramel and light notes of wood. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some caramel and light notes of wood. Your quite typical brown ale with artificial like (hazel)nut in the aroma. Lacks character.

Mmmm. Not really my kind of hazelnutty liquid. Smells like mashington, tastes honey’ish and i didn’t notice a hazelnut note or anything. Still quite enjoyable
