Piana drobna szybko redukuje się do krazka. Aromat intensywnie orzechowy, kakao, nuty palone. Smak wytrawny delikatny karmel i posmak orzechow, przyjemny posmak w ustach.

Dark brown colour. Aroma of caramel and toasted hazelnuts. Flavour is rather sweet but has genuine hazelnut taste. Tastes a bit like a certain posh chocolate. Ooh, ambassador with these Rocher you are really spoiling us.

Bottle from Soho Wine at home. Translucent dark brown pour - a bit light. Thin brown-tan head. Aroma is very English and malty, with a nutty sweetness. Taste is similar - a bit empty though. Some mild bitterness, nuttiness and nutty sweetness. Very very malty. Palate is slightly bubbly but the nuttiness makes it seem richer. Empty taste sort of ruins it for me but not bad.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A: Somewhat clear mahogany color with 1/4" quickly dissipating head.
S: Chocolate malt and that’s about it. Maybe a bark-like essence. Cinnamon? A slight hint of coffee creamer (hazelnut).
T: Again chocolatey without any sweetness. A hoppy bite with a hint of roast/toast dark bread.
M: Medium body with more carbonation than expected but not enough to distract. I don’t get much of the the nuttiness I remember.
O: I thought this was the best stuff in the world back in the 1990s. OK but doesn’t hold up to my memories. Oh well. Rogue seems to have a bit of a reputation problem now and I definitely don’t like their refusal to date their products. I guess I can let this go. Too expensive to be this mediocre.
