COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Above and beyond an India Pale Ale--I2PA is radically hopped with an intense aroma and hop bitterness. Unfiltered and aged for 9 months before it leaves the brewery--not for the faint of heart. I2PA is brewed with two-row Pipkin Pale malts, Saaz, Cascade and Northwest Golding hops.

Pours a beautiful pale red with white head. Aroma is pine, caramel, grapefruit, earth, alcohol and grass. Very nice slick and fruity mouth feel with low carbonation. Very dry aftertaste of pine, wet grass, alcohol and lingering bitterness. Overall: very good. weak aroma. Nice mouth feel and bitterness.

Pours the color of a torched penny. The white head leaves quickly. A fair amount of lacing. It smells of malt, bread and caramel. Those all carry over to the taste, but are overwhelmed by tree sap. The hops add a lot of lingering bitterness. Medium, oily mouth. This is a pretty complex beer and I can see why many like it, but the malts are too predominant for me.

Gift bottle from PD - Luscious foam, hazy orange pour, vaguely waxy mouthfeel. Lots going on here, but it needed to be directed or pointed a little more.

Bottle. Dank cherry aroma. Pours murky brown with no head or carbonation. Boozy with little complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a orange red with minimal head. Aroma of woody honey. Taste is oak and syrup with a tart note. Also has the unique tone of most rogue beer. Presumably from the Pac man yeast. Bitter and dry in the finish.

Imperial ipa eccezionale e superluppolata.

An I2PA (aka, Imperial India Pale Ale). This one is packed full of delicious hop flavor, and a ton of alcohol by volume. Definitely one of Rogue’s best. Highly recommended.

Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2013, Parsons Green, London in July 2013 - Clear Orangey Amber in colour. Mega Hoppy; piney resinous oily hops; lovely hop bite. Very Fruity; grapefruit citrus and tropical fruits. Malty backbone. Good hop/fruit/malt balance. Bitter hoppy citrus fruity throughout. Intense hop aroma and hop bitterness. Enjoyed this. Nice Impy IPA!
