I thought that the head should have lasted a bit longer. The bottle was a resealable ceramic type. The bottle was more impressive than the beer. merlin48 (522), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 11, 2007 22 oz bottle pours a hazy amber body with a lavish almond head. Lots of patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrusy orange and pink grapefruit with undertones of caramel. Medium body with zippy carbonation. Taste is bitter grapefruity hops with hints of pine and caramel malt. Citrus rind bitterness on the finish. Not an unbalanced hop bomb but the hops do run the show. My only complaint is that this was more expensive than Dreadnaught in Evansville. thomat (666), Göteborg, Sweden

| 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Nov 4, 2007 What can I say? I am going against popular opinion. I rank this among the highest. Great head and lacing. Piney/citrus taste that lingers well. Bottle was cool too. aerosol999 (113), Quebec, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Appearance: Apricot gold with thick white moussy head. Light haze.
Aroma: Big apricot and grapefruit hops but also floral. Pinapple ester.
Flavour: Rich sweet and bitter. Dried pineapple candy and lots of thick resiny bitterness. Lemon pepper.
Mouthfeel: Rich, full and mouth coating.
Overall: Easy drinking for such a big hoppy and alcoholic beer. Dangerous especially when it comes in an XS bottle. Thanks Randy! frankenstein (64), Livermore, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Golden straw in color, a little hazy from the yeast. Aroma not as strong as I like most of my Imperial IPA’s. Great taste, very smooth for 9.5% abv. Would recommend. AgentSteve (1379), SF Bay Area, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Pours a hazy honey color. Nose is really hoppy with citrus and pine notes. Very little head. Very viscous, very smooth, not as complex as I expected. The pine doesn’t overwhelm like other IIPA’s making it easier to drink, which could be dangerous! Pretty darned good, as Frankenstein sitting next to me says.
