COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Above and beyond an India Pale Ale--I2PA is radically hopped with an intense aroma and hop bitterness. Unfiltered and aged for 9 months before it leaves the brewery--not for the faint of heart. I2PA is brewed with two-row Pipkin Pale malts, Saaz, Cascade and Northwest Golding hops.

Bottled. A strong offering, but I think that they were kidding themselves calling this an Imperial IPA. Flavor has some nice hops that come to the fore in the beginning but never really change. When I compare this to other Imperials such as dogfish head’s 90-minute....well, let’s just say there is no comparison. A good IPA, but it’s no Imperial.

On tap. Pours clear golden with a thin off white head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, butterscotch, light sweet fruits, some alcohol. Taste is strong sweet malts, some light fruitiness again, robust vegetal bitterness, quite some booze. Oily mouthfeel, full body, light carbonation.

Pours slightly hazy to cloudy pale amber with one fingers of rocky white head, good retention and minimal lacing. (3/5) Nose is caramel malt, pithy citrus, pine resin, mild floral. (7/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate to low carbonation, slightly boozy finish. (4/5) Nothing too thrilling - a fairly standard heavy-handed, malt-forward DIPA. Doesn’t excite me, doesn’t turn me off. Damned with faint praise? Maybe - but that’s about what it deserves. (12/20)

Yeah, I'm a fan boy, but this just ticks all boxes, it flavoursome as well as sensuous on all other accounts. So many different scents, and tingles and yeah. Just, yeah. Oh baby.

Bottle (nice) - dark gold with slim white head. Aroma of citrus hops, pine, honey maybe. Excellent taste - citrus hops mainly, with touch of floral, nicely dry, good malt backbone. Medium to full bodied, softly carbonated. Nice long bitter finish, touch of late warming alcohol. An excellent DIPA.

Bottle shared @ home from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: hazy dark blond beer with no carbonation and small white foam. Smell: resin and hoppy domination with grassy finish. Taste: hoppy taste and resin notes. Woody taste and alcohol finish. Aftertaste: resin and caramel with alcohol notes. Maybe it was to late to drink this beer....

On tap at Dexters, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a thin white head and some lacing in the glass, the aroma is of heavy citrus and hop resin with a pine touch as well, the flavor has a nice citrus front end with a pine and hop like finish, smooth mouthfeel, not bad.
