The hop aroma is there, but has something holding it back somewhat--maybe some musty type of smell? The taste is very interesting. Again, the hops are definitely present and very good, but you get a very interesting malt profile from this one--fairly bready and earthy as well. I really liked tasting something that made me think as much as this one did.

Tap: orange pour with medium-sized white head. Aroma is orang y with caramel and grass. Flavor is citrusy with orange, grapefruit and tangerine, a bit grassy, and a light touch of creamy caramel. This beer is a solid iipa with big citrus flavor and a grassy hop twist.

XS Bottle. Pours a rusty orange color with a foamy ivory colored head. Nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, apricots, resin, and a bit of floral. Taste is bitter and dry. Almost chewy yet still a little thinner than most Imperials. Taste like citrus, resin, and a hint of apricots. My favorite Rogue thus far! Nice dry bitter finish.

Draft at Mugishutei. Pours dark golden, little head. Floral notes in aroma, grapefruit, bubblegum and candy in taste with some alcohol sipping through. Well balanced indeed.

Hazy orange pour with a good single finger head. Passion fruit and funk on the nose. Farmhouse. Good body. Taste is very grassy. Very bitter with a long bitter finish. Not bad, but this is a palate killer.

Pint of Keg at Kick Off, Waterloo, Ontario, 28th April 2013. This is full on lovely perfume, floral aroma of the Cascade hops, the taste is similar, almost pollen in flavour, not too sweet, then the bitterness kicks in and lingers, very well balanced and a good DIPA
