3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
It poured a hazy golden/brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was of resinous citrus and piney hops, with a boozy caramel malt backbone. The taste was similar with lots of booze and malts, and still plenty of hops. Nice.

AKA Rogue I2(squared)PA. Imperial India (double I) Pale Ale.

An I2PA (aka, Imperial India Pale Ale). This one is packed full of delicious hop flavor, and a ton of alcohol by volume. Definitely one of Rogue’s best. Highly recommended.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted from the 750ml XS bottle. Seems golden amber in colour that starts clear and gets progressively cloudier as you get further through the bottle. There is a temporary white head and some evident carbonation. Aromas of rich fruitiness are apparent and some resinous Pacific NW hops. There is gentle carbonation in the mouth and then a blast of tart resinous bitterness that showcases the nectarine, peach and apricot of the hopping and malt combination. This carries on and gets more and more bitter, making the finish a lengthy affair that is still bringing me those sour orchard flavours more than half an hour after consumption...
...which I like.

Plenty of hops, notably cascade with pine/citrus bitterness. A smooth, sweetish malt.

Keg @El Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo. 01-01-2014.
In short: watery IPA.
Pours clear golden, with some white head, poor lacing. Caramel, alcohol, herbal aromas. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is mild bitter, herbal, some caramel. A bit watery, tasteless and disgusting finish.

Draught Rogue. Amber color, white head. Bitter taste with hops, grapefruit, resin, pine, peach and a bit of grass. Bitter finish with grapefruit, floral hops, resin and pine. Very nice imperial IPA, although rather one-dimensional.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours murky orange with almost no head. Smells just like apricots with a little malt and caramel thrown in there. Taste is citrusy with a sting malt middle followed by an extremely long hoppy finish. Fun beer to try.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy light amber with a flimsy white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is superb. Fresh aromas of: caramel, bread, spruce, dough, alcohol, and some vanilla. Taste is fairly well balanced with a nod to bitterness. Palate is great and I’m struggling not to rate it a five... I think I will. Medium bodied but with a thin mouth feel, slick feel, average carbonation, with a lingering bitter finish. Great product, will drink again.

Transfer from BA reviewed on 2-13-12 -
Served in 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance- Served an orange -yellow color with a nice retaining head. Upon fading it gave way to a bit of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is piney and citrus hop heavy in the beginning. A bit of maltiness, with a somewhat sweet caramel aroma works its way in toward the middle of the nose. More bitter hop aromas then overwhelm the sweeter malt aroma toward the end and finish off the nose.
Taste – Bitter hops is the predominant and overarching flavor. A nice more piney and earthy heavy hop flavor hit the tongue up front and last throughout the taste experience. Some bready and caramel maltiness are present toward the middle of the taste. These again are shadowed by the overall piney hoppiness as well as some more citrus hoppiness which comes in toward the very end. Bitter; but a very nice flavor.
Mouthfeel – A middle to heavy body seem to coat the tongue with some creaminess. The slight creaminess and a moderate level of carbonation make it easy to drink.
Overall – A very nice example of a double IPA. Its bitter, strong and hoppy yet very easy to drink. A nice brew.
