Huge herbal grassy hop aroma overpowers any mild caramel malt that is hiding behind it. Taste is some caramel, then a big rush of floral hops. A bit one note, but good. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Poured an amber body with hints of red and a short lasting head. Plenty of malt characters in the taste backed well with grapefruit, early toffee notes replaced by grain and a bit of resin. Easily drinkable for a 7.5% beer just doesn’t turn me on too much. Not too sure what is Imperial about this beer, is it just a ramped up pale ale? Jonte (816), Gothenburg, Sweden
