750ml ceramic flip top. Deep gold/orange hued beer, head is thick and creamy, holds for a long time, good lacing. Citrus hoppy aroma, slightly sweet. Big maltiness, backed up by grapefruit hops. Sharp grapefruit aftertaste with some noticable alcohol. Medium body, light carbonation.

Bottle. Fruity somewhat sweet aroma. Cloudy deep orange body, off-white head. Flavor is citrus, with some sweet malt. A nice bitter finish. A very tasty beer. But like all Rogue products, it is outrageously, criminally overpriced.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. Amber color. Sweetish aroma with lemon, apricot and yeast fruitiness. Bittersweet flavor with lemon and very distinctive Rougue house flavor fruitiness. Very drinkable and tasty.

Pours a deep orangish red, with some head and a good lace. Floral aroma, kind of smells rosy. The flavor is hoppy with a good bitterness. This honestley tastes exactally like what I would presume it is supposed to taste like, sort of a very very strong english bitter. It’s pretty nice considering that I really don’t like the non-imperial version of this beer.

Classic English style bitter, reminded me of the pubs of Suffolk and Norfolk. Faint background of fruit, smooth and bitter throughout.

750 ceramic growler. Served chilled in a glass. Pours a reasonably clean copper body with a dense off-white head. Aroma is pungent wtih earthy hops, woody and citrus peel, some leafiness. Malt body is reasonably prominant, burnt caramel, nuts, mild roastiness, typical sort of Crystal malt profile. Body is brutally bitter from the word go! Nice malt richness to it, low carb, syrup-like texture and tremendous length. Resiny hops on the body, leafy tobacco and spice, bitter citrus peel, all seems overdone and quite overbearing at times. Malt body has a nice toffee quality about it but seems a bit subdued against the brutal bitter finish of this beer. I wouldnt go as far as to say this is a bad beer, particularly if youre a fan of British style bitter/IPA, but the balance is a bit off and its quite a vicious beer. Not for that faint of heart I guess.

Draught @ STBOWF. Stockholm Beer Festival 2008, Sweden.
Clear medium to dark red amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to light light heavy hoppy, orange, pine and grapefruit notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [260908]

Pours a dark copper with a thick white head. Piney hops on the nose, with a more subtle caramel and malt, with a bit of toast. Full bodied with a citrusy hop profile, with some slight malt to balance out the bitter hop kick. The finish is dry and strongly of piney hops. I was expecting a little more flavor, but this is pretty good.
