Jun 13, 2009 Bottle, Mondiale 09. Malty aroma, some hops. Nice reddish orange with a good sized white head. Good taste - malty and bitter, but little alcohol. Nicely balanced and very tasty - a nicely amped up Youngers.

Feb 8, 2007 Tap, Frisco’s Grille. Pours an orange-ruby appearance; off-white head with light lacing. Full, wet malt and candy sugar aroma. Sticky-sweet mouthfeel: candy sugar and maple syrup, lively carbonation, citrus and floral hops barely balancing things out. Medium, bitter and brown sugar finish. I prefer the regular YSB by quite a bit.

Feb 23, 2009 Bottle (75 cl) shared with gnoff & deft. Clear mahogny, medium off-white head. Fruity and caramelly aroma with some spicy hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Harshly bitter with a husky feeling, very unbalanced.

Apr 30, 2007 Poured a full amber color, off-white head, solid lacing. The aroma was citrusey, toffee, light caramel. Flavor was bready, toffee, grapefruits, finishing with a firm bitterness, somewhat piney, especially for an ESB based beer. Mouthfeel was full, hearty, a little grainy. A nice beer relative to what they were attempting, although not one of the more attractive styles.

Mar 9, 2009 Pours with an amber orange body topped by a thick head with good lacing left on the glass. It’s slightly sweet yet bitter and hoppy with grassy notes as well as grapefruit notes and an underlying maltiness. Medium bodied and smooth.
