Rogue Nation, San Francisco: Served from a cask. Beautiful topaz color with no head. faint swet aroma with only a hint of butter. Smooth start with malty/buttery taste and a sharp hops spike at the end.

A murky butterscotch beer with no lasting head. Hoppy on the nose but not like an IPA - just enought to tell you there will be some similarities in there. Crisp and almost spicy hoppiness leaves a pleasant bitter aftertaste - quite enjoyable. A solid debut to the Rogue Anniversary series. I hope to try a couple of others before the year is out.

Poured a medium, hazy/cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of citrus, lemons, flowers, and a little earthy. Dry finish.

Nice floral and piney nose. Good up front bitterness with strong resin and oil mouthfeel. Odd bready malt notes with a touch of lemon cookie. clean and soft mouthfeel with a lingering finish. Lots of resins on the backend.

Bottle: Cloudy orange-yellow body with a white head. Aroma is buttery hops, lemon, citrus, grass. Flavor is crisp, bitter hops, lemon, citrus, grapefruit - much more hops than malt. Finish is bitter hops.

Murky gold in colour. Aroma is nicely hopped, with some flowers, citrus, and some sourness. Flavour was quite hoppy and spicy. Finished with a medium hoppy bitterness. I can't help but think that I have had this beer before. Thanks beerhugger for sharing this bottle with me.

Very sharp aroma, extremely citrusy, foreboding the sharpness in the flavor. The flavor, as forwarned, is sharp; however, there is a fairly nice malt base that makes it rather palatable but there is some bizarreness in the finish I can't really describe. Some sort of wierd wet sock funk, but this, although possibly the signature of the beer, doesn't hurt it so bad in the end, just leaves you perplexed.
