3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Huge head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are sour brett, rhum, caramel, lactose acid, nuts and hops. Definately off beer, but luckily I like sour beers.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Deep orange-coppery hazy body, massive foamy off-white head. Aroma is vanilla, rum, molasses, spices, hints of eggnog and sour lactic tones. Taste is sour notes of vanilla and wood, quite similar to the "house flavors" of Jolly Pumpkin’s sour-barrel-aged beers. Sweet rum tones come in as well, with some rather offsetting astringent medicinal bitterness. Weird. Mouthfeel is also extremely disappointing: watery with a dry and parching finish. Very strange, and I suspect an infection but with an experimental ale like this it’s a little hard to tell.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Like other reviewers, I found this to have an excessively sour flavour — dominating everything else do much that I couldn't drink it.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from the bomber a beautiful translucent rmaghogany with a robust creamy tan head. Some nuttiness in the nose, but overall the fragrance was very subtle. My first impression was a sour sensation followed by nut notes and a slick red fruit sweetness. While the body is light, this brew coats the tongue and mouth a smooth flim which enhances the overall positive impression. I love the sourness of this beer. Would buy again.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a nice medium brown color, with a little light tan head. The nose is of cinnamon, anise, clove and light brown sugar. The taste stated with a light nuttiness and some solvent notes. the end was lightly spiced in the end. Somewhat underwhelming. Just because you have the ability to age beer in Rum barrels doesn’t mean you should.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a hazy and nut brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, caramel, nut, notes of acidity and raisin. The flavor follows the nose with additional acidity, grapefruit and green apples. The palate is acidic. Overall an unbalanced beer below average.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
650ml bottle at Appelation Wines 29 jan, thanks Ash. Pours cloudy amber/red with a slim but well proportioned head. The nose has a sweet nutty and sugary aroma. The taste has nut liqueur, sour but sweet at the same time. The palate has hazelnuts and sour notes. Nice carbonation and a very nice clean finish. Too nutty sweet for my taste, but definitely would do well at an icecream dessert or similar.
