An excellently flavored beer with lots of fruit & spice notes and a sour after taste that you forget in time for the next gulp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[4432-20120526] 1pt6floz bottle. Mild fruity nut malt aroma has a strange rummy base. Hazy, red amber body with a medium-lasting creamy light yellow body. Light nutty apple-orange peel flavour has a lingering light boozy base. Medium body. Interesting to sample. (7/3+/7/3/14) 3.4

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Very hazy medium brown colour with a big yellow brown head. Sour grassy woody nutty malt & rum aroma & flavour. Sour aftertaste. This is not my sort of beer. My first big disappointment from Rogue.

Poured brown with reddish hints, and a small tan head. The aroma was licorice, nuts and caramel. The taste was a nice mix of nuts, caramel, and raisins with a light rum like sweetness. The palate/mouth feel was medium bodied. Overall a nice evenly balanced brown ale, not the best Iíve ever had, but not nearly the worst. Iíd recommend this ale, it went down smooth.

2012-05-26. Lightly hazy dark amber body with a small beige head. 3+ Sweetish malty core, with light spicey overtones, sort of nutmeg like spice, possibly cinnamon? 7+ Pleasant spicy aroma, akin to nutmeg or allspice? Mild sweet malt character. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. Enjoyable, bit simple. I got a lot more of the spice out of it than the hazelnut. Bottled shared by Blankboy

My bottle [660ml] shared with jerc & mabel. Pours a cloudy copper-red with a small diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma of rum, hazelnuts, caramel malt, some raisins and some spice. Slightly watery nutty flavour along with caramel malt, rum, a bit of alcohol and spices. Average bodied. Interesting and somewhat unique, I didnít love it but I quite liked it. -- Rated via Beer Buddy.

Pours clear and brown with slight head. Good aroma and the rum is detectable right away. Taste is good and smooth but with plenty of spice including the hazelnut .
