2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Glouglouburp (5572) - Montreal, Quebec, - DEC 3, 2010In short: A weird pale ale. More intriguing than good.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh (probably fresh) a few weeks after purchase
The look: Moderately cloudy golden blonde cloudy topped by a long-lasting medium off-white head
In long: Nose is strange to say the least. Unusual flowery aroma, light spiciness, fruits… just weird in a way I cannot describe. Taste has toasted white bread, apple seeds, flowers, berries, citrus fruits, gin, tangerines, pomegranate, spiciness, grapefruits, leafy hops. This beer is totally fucked-up. Body and carbonation are lifeless. The flavor elements I listed seem almost standard but really there was something off about this beer. This is just not a fun beer. Rogue have much better beers in their portfolio. I don’t even remember buying this beer. Was I drunk? Because I don’t remember ever going to bed with a fat chick, ever. Not once. But I remember waking up with a few of them.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 NikkTwist (897) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Draft at Khyber Pass. Tulip. Hazy orange pour with a fizzy foam. Nicely tart and floral. Clementine marmalade. Lemmongrass. Thyme. Honey dandelion tea. The juniper berries add a pleasant earthy spiciness. Like it the more I drink it. Decent body for something so light and refreshing.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 OKplus (379) - Oklahoma, USA - MAR 29, 2013
A - Pours a hazy golden brass with a 2 finger rocky white head that has superior retention. Big sheets of lacing.
S - Soapy herbal hops, white grapes, green apple, treated wood, lavender, pale malt.
T - Sweet oaky lavender, green herbal resin, vanilla, spicy floral with a yeasty peppery bite. A dry treated oak finish.
M - Medium creamy body.
Excellent head retention. This taste like slightly hoped pinot grigio aged in gin barrels. I like that it’s different but one is plenty. It definitely has that super dry gin feeling towards the end.
