355 ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty.

Translucent dull golden colour with no yeast sediments; Less than one-quarter head and soapy white foam which lasts for 15 seconds; Very small sticky lacing with notable small carbonation; Aroma of Munich-like ale malt, with grapefruit, apricot, yellow fruit, floral, grains, molasses, earth, nuts, and spices; Medium sweet taste of light ale malt, with sharp grapefruit zest, grains, nuts, notes of molasses, light herbal spices, bread, light biscuits, lime, bitter hops and grass; Mid to light body, dry and slick palate; Mouth feel is Munich-based pale ale with strong nuttiness and grainyness, plus sharp grapefruit zest, light sweet notes. Apparent herbal spicy flavor and some light earth. Bready and hoppy in a light and refreshing way. Okay… Hoppiness is grapefruit, yellow fruit, floral and spicy nose; Earth, herbal, spice and light grassy taste. Bitterness is moderately strong for a not-too-astringent semi-finish; Dry after taste. Easy and light bitter to mouth.

Comment: A light APA with strong Munich characters, the addition of juniper adds some delightful floral herbal aroma, which binds well with light Amarillo / Perle hoppiness. A bit too grainy aside, this is easy going and made for undemanding enjoyment. Okay with me.

This is an speciality ale so it is worthless to compare it with a classical style like a pale ale. It looks like a golden ale or blonde, it has a good head retention, malty, sweet-floral aroma and flavor, subtle sweet and biscuit, medium low in body. The juniper berries give it an special aroma an flavor, definitively will drink it again.
