craftycarl21 (120), USA Apr 11, 2008 courtesy of oteyj. pours a hazy yellow/orange with ok head, ok lacing. aroma definitely hits you with juniper immediately, along with pine, hops, and citrus. flavor is solid, not complex but pretty unique and tasty, similar to the aroma. smooth, mouthfeel is a little watery, but beyond a slight tinge of hop in the aftertaste not as bitter as i was expecting from the juniper’s woodiness. pretty good beer overall.
daknole (531), Plantation, Florida, USA Jul 25, 2008 Orange-dark yellow color. Aromas of malt and i suppose the juniper...but I would not have known if someone didn’t tell me. Flavor is malty and bitter and the juniper does hit the tongue on this one. The malt saves this one from being fairly poor. But it is ok. sleepylopes (264), New York, USA Jul 22, 2008 better than I expected from a rogue beer but thats no saying much. Orange blond with no head sweet hop and hey nose and a bland sour taste. The malt profile isn’t bad. timsilvia32 (116), born in Michigan, North Carolina, USA Jul 16, 2008 Had on draft. Poured reddish orange. Light head. Toffee/caramel sweetness, yet enough spice and juniper to balance it out. Very clean, easy to drink and have a few. bitbucket (1476), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bomber. Pours orange amber with a lacy off-white head. Sweet aroma of toffee, fruit and juniper? Medium body and carbonation. Fruit, caramel and citrus taste. Dry juniper finish. ksurkin (52), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Jul 11, 2008 bomber from total wine in greenville. pours a bright, fizzy, orange with a 1 inch off-white head. very nice looking beer. mild hoppy aroma with hints of lemon and spice. flavor was very well balanced but not as bold as i expected from rogue. very refreshing however, with hints of citrus, pine, and some hops. i feel like i was missing the flavor of the juniper berries though. overall, a very easy drinkng, clean tasting, quality APA. definitely a good session beer but not spectacular.
