Fevernova (33), Ohio, USA Nov 6, 2009 22 oz Bottle -- Pours hazy orange with a white head. Pretty good pale ale, but only a slight hint of juniper present in the aftertaste. Very well balanced with a dry finish. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Nov 2, 2009 Bottle. Bought at Sunset Corner in Miami. An above the average IPA, light bodied, can not taste the juniper, however it is spicey. bonk0076 (27), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Nov 1, 2009 Golden yellow cloudy appearance. A little bit of juniper in the nose, but not very powerful. Glass was dirty, didn’t help the presentation. Mild hop flavor mixed with a hint of juniper and citrus. Overall pretty dull Allen (1289), Switzerland Oct 31, 2009 Bottled 65cl. A lot of juniper showing up in the nose. Plenty of character. Dryish finish. A very interesting beer. MoDog (910), Griffith, Indiana, USA Oct 24, 2009 22oz bomber served in a shaker. Hazy amber pour with a two-finger thick head of creamy beige foam that showed some good retention. Chunky lacing. The aroma included fresh oranges, juniper, light caramel, and some toast. The flavor was similar, with a decent citrus bitterness and some faint juniper. Medium-bodied with a light to moderate amount of crisp carbonation. Pretty standard pale ale, as the juniper is not that strong or noteworthy. MBison (548), Southern Highlands, Australia Oct 19, 2009 Bottle 650ml. Poured golden with a slight haze and a good sized, frothy, off-white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of resinous fruity hops with caramel malts, toffee, passionfruit, apricots and zesty orange marmalade. Flavor was a moderate fruity hop bitterness with biscuity malts, caramel, peaches, dry nectarines, grapefruit, hints of nuts and a dry hoppy finish. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry hoppy mouthfeel, slightly chewy texture and a good length finish. Geokkjer (256), Kristiansand, Norway Oct 12, 2009 Bottle.Amber with a creamy white head.Aroma of piny hops ,grains and spice.Flavor is grainy with a pine like flavor from both the hops and the juniper.Bitter and dry finish.Medium body ,somewhat aggressive carbonation.Overall a nice and balanced beer. BelgianBeerGal (1277), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 10, 2009 Draught sample at the Portland House. Really did not pick up on any strong juniper notes in the aroma or flavour. Maybe I missed it. Just seemed rather simple and possibly boring?
