JesseM (661), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Feb 28, 2009 650ml bottle from the LCBO spring seasonal release. The bottle claims it has 28 IBU’s, not 25, which would technically make it a Pilsener. Pours a very nice gold with a huge white, rocky head. Aroma: Kind of odd actually, apple, sweetness, home-baked bread, barley, crisp pils malt, and some very nice hop presence. The flavour is a quite a delightful blend of all the above mentioned characteristics, and it is quite reminiscent of a Euro premium lager, but in a good way. Nice hops in the finish and aftertaste. Nice malty bready flavour the whole way through that I particularly like. There’s a touch of sourness in here, but not in a spoiled or Bretty way, it’s hard to describe. It’s similar to the smell of boiling mash. Over-all a very well done beer and another good one from Rogue. THANK YOU ROGUE ALES FOR PUTTING UP WITH ALL THE LCBO BULLS***. bluevegie (2169), Perth, Australia Feb 28, 2009 Clear yellow gold body with short head. Light malt aroma with similar in the taste also some yeast notes. Decent but not outstanding. iamqueensblvd (181), , Iowa, USA Feb 18, 2009 I think this would be a very good summer beer. It poors a nice golden color and it has a nice apple hint at the finish. nathan30533 (138), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA Feb 11, 2009 This Lager is full of wheat. Taste like wheat, smell like wheat. OK, not at all my style. Looks like a light pilsner. Pours a lite yellow with a white head. and again... wheat, wheat, wheat! CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jan 29, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Little skunk, little poop on the nose. Flavor is actually decent, possibly good. Finish is sweet and nice. Surprised a lager could actually be this tasty. CanIHave4Beers (838), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Jan 15, 2009 A little bread dough, yeast, and hops in the faint aroma. This has a decent head that produces a little lace. It pours a little deeper gold than your standard pale lager. This tastes nice with some good mild hoppiness, and some notes of apple and white bread.
Pretty tasty, I drank about four pints in a row and it treated me well. rocbyter (902), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Jan 12, 2009 Robust yeast aroma. Hazy yellow with a medium white head. Mild malt that fades quickly and has a light yeast finish. Travlr (700), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jan 7, 2009 A very rich, smooth lager with nice hoppy bitterness throughout and a longish finish.
