Rustyham (552), miami, Florida, USA Jan 4, 2009 Meh. It’s very watery, even for a lager, but there are some nice flavors in there, you just have to concentrate to find them. I taste caramel and peanut butter cup, not very earthy, but somewhat dry. I probably won’t buy it again. I prefer an ale. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jan 2, 2009 Orange yellow with a thin white head. Sweet apple skins and cidery lager taste. Aroma is faint pale male and not much else. daknole (2810), Plantation, Florida, USA Dec 25, 2008 Well this is one of the better beers I tasted tonight and it wasnt very good. that should say a lot. Golden yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is very malty and has some nice hops. Flavor is really pretty damn bland. Boring and not good. Too much grain, hops dont meld well. Blah. KimJohansen (6676), Copenhagen V, Denmark Dec 24, 2008 Cloudy goldeng with medium white head. Sweet aroma with caramel and and malty notes. Flavour likewise. barleynhops (82), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Dec 23, 2008 Bottle: Pours light golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is mostly malty, with citris and hops. Flavor is sweet and light apple bitter finish. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Dec 8, 2008 Pours like a macro brew, smells like a macro brew but is not a macro brew! A floral type taste with some grainy business going on as well. One of the worst Rogue beers I have had. JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Nov 29, 2008 22oz bottle sampled at the Rogue tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits. Pours a gold/copper. Aroma is of a typical macro lager (specifically, Michelob). Flavor is more like a traditional German pils. Thin finish. penguinjive7 (67), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 20, 2008 Pours a lite golden color with a bit of white head that disappears almost immediately with no retention or lacing.
Smell is of straw and very little else.
Taste is hard to get a handle on. Bits of straw with a bit of a floral tinge. A great deal of carbonated water.
Mouthfeel is very light and watery. Not much substance to speak of.
This one is pretty easy to put down, but doesn’t have much to speak of overall. Worth a shot, but not quite worth the $4.50.
