(050908) djd07 (724), Houston, Texas, USA Nov 19, 2008 Bottle as shown. Pours a pale golden color with a medium frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is sweet fruit and raisin. The taste is also a fruity malt and a sweet bitter finish. A good Lager from Rogue. clong83 (243), San Diego, California, USA Oct 31, 2008 Pours a pale yellow with a tightly beaded tall head. Lively carbonation. Aroma is sweet but has a weird twinge that I can’t put my finger on. Mouthfeel is surprisingly robust for the appearance, but it is a rather light-bodied beer. Bready and yeast flavors, otherwise not a whole lot. Faint hop presence. Sweetish. An okay, drinkable beer. Really not great, but pretty good for a pale lager-type of beer. yobdoog (1426), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Oct 24, 2008 Draft. Light and crisp. Some flavor of malts but faint. Some bread light body and taste. A bit sweet and balanced. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Oct 20, 2008 Draught @ Rogue Ales and Public House, Portland, OR. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a sweetish malty grainy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish. DrSamPHD (60), Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA Oct 3, 2008 Poured a murky gold with a medium sized head. A sweet aroma with a slight hint of fruit. Taste was a bit sweet with an after bitterness that hit me just right. I loved this beer. Yummy. dmtroyer (409), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 28, 2008 22oz. Pours a very clear golden yellow with a white head that is quickly gone. I cannot believe how much I like this beer. Nose is sweet breads for days with cake like yeasty presence. Body reminds me very much of some of my favorite grower champagnes: loads of yeasty goodness with a strong citrus and almost yellow-cake like presence with strong mineral flavors to boot. The mouthfeel also mimics a champagne mouthfeel with some coating viscosity, awesome carbonation and stronger acids. This is a light beer for the wine lover and way underrated.
