Pours pale golden with a solid two finger froth. Good hangtime reducing slowly to a fluffy downy canopy. Aromas of grainy malts. Full nectar with good carbonation. The texture is cotton. A big malty backbone supports the hive as a mild spicey character emerges. A pleasant malty sweetness with nuances of hay, honey, vanilla, citrus, and aged apple. On the bottle it says crisp apple finish. I would say more like aged, soft apple finish. Like an apple that is partially dehydrated and going south yet still defined. This is not a bad thing, just not crisp. The finish a bittered mildly. travita (1887), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 3, 2008 From a 22 oz bottle this poured a clear dark gold with a big fluffy white head and left big chunks of lacing as it settled. Nose of sweet malts, and citrus hops. Mild mouthfeel with quite a bit of carbonation. Flavor is malty, with a hint of fruit, and a dry finish. Good example of its type. Probiere (992), Iowa, USA
