Got this at Gomers of Kansas. Pours clear/straw, with good head. Not much on aroma and light on taste. It was very lagerish with some sweetness at the end. It was a decent beer though.

I would have to say that this is a great lager. Wow, hoppy but not too hoppy. Very great! Not my favorite Rogue but I still love them. No ones perfect.

6/10/2007: Kells Irish Style Lager pours a clear, pale straw color with a foamy ivory head. There is a mild amount of visible carbonation. Nothing about this beer is particularly exciting. It looks and tastes a lot like a cream ale. I wasn’t able to detect anything in this beer that was reminiscent of a Pilsner other than the color. Other than that, it is very light with a smooth and creamy texture. There really isn’t anything else that I can say about this beer...

22 oz bottle (12’ Plat, 28 IBU, 9.8’ L) from Jungle Jim’s. Shared with Rob and Terry during the Vanilla Creme Ale brewout at my place...

Glad I got on sale as the whole "Irish-style" an "Lager" did not seem to authentic. Other than that it is crisp in the aroma and taste. Not much bittering in aftertaste. An easy session beer.

Very disappointing from Rogue. Looks like I peed in a glass. Luckily it doesn’t smell like pee. There’s not much for taste, either.

I honestly expected more flavor. I know its a lager but come on I need a little umph. It looked really nice though, needs some more hoppy goodness

Clear straw color, with a billowy white head. Fruity aroma, with a good dose of malt. It must be the secondary fermentation that brings out the ale like aromas. Very dry and clean flavor, with a bit of malt coming on in the finish. Very good for a lager.

Rated 3/31/07: Well, hmmm I don’t understand why this lager couldn’t be a touch bolder and thicker, there are some good points but most of all this is barely pushing average. I enjoy the aroma that comes off like unsweetened applesauce very crisp and welcoming. Straw yellow pour with a minimal head that creeps away and a little lace around the glass. Light and fizzy on the palate, relatively clean, but the finish is empty and watery. Underlying mild apple flavor, hops aren’t detectable, too light and airy for my liking. Just isn’t a whole lot going on with this beer. Overall it’s crisp and tasty at first but in the end it’s rather blah, even for a lager.
