pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Dec 13, 2006 Pours a slightly sickly hazy looking orangy pale gold with a fleeting, though sizable white head. The nose is slightly sweet with light malt, and slightly hopped slightly spicy, mostly floral notes, but nothing too distinct. The palate is the clear strength of this beer. It does what a lager should, smooth and creamy, without too much fizz, and just enough body to not seem watery, creamy. The flavors are sweet with nondiscrete malt, rounder than most lagers, with some spicy and floral hops. Good for a lager, but not great. In terms of drinkability, I could drink tons of this, but why when I could drink something better? Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 10, 2006 Bottle. Low white but lasting head. Hazy yellow body. Sweet and weak hops aroma. Sweet and weak hops flavor as well. Low on carbonation. Relatively boring. Goblincat (356), Westland, Michigan, USA Dec 3, 2006 Golden body with fizzy white head. Very little aroma, lightly grainy with a touch of sweetness. Taste starts off a bit grainy and bready, disolves into a light malt, and finishes with a light hop bitter. KariCupcake (214), Lenox, Massachusetts, USA Nov 13, 2006 The color was clear yellow, but the taste was pretty ok. It wasn’t anything amazing, by any means, but not as offensive others I’ve tried. jake65 (1658), Williston, North Dakota, USA Nov 12, 2006 Bottle: Golden pour with an ample white head and moderate lacing. Taste is a bit yeasty with some malts present. There are many better Rogue ales... JK (2946), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Nov 11, 2006 This is a solid lager. Light and refreshing, yellow of course. Its only a premium lager so I don’t know what else to say. Its good for what it is. WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 5, 2006 I’’ try this again tomorrow and see if I can be more enthusiastic. Right now it seems about as unappealing as a Harp. Pale gold, almost no head, which vanishes immediately, leaving no lacing. Lightlty hopped aroma, taste of aromatic hops, insufficient malt, insufficient bitterness. Yeah, the hops are European, not American, but still insufficient to provide much flavor or bitterness. Perhaps this is intended to be perfect with Irish food. I’m thinking no need for another, and Into the sink this one goes too. Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 2, 2006 Pours clear gold to light orange color with thin white head. Aroma of pale malts and sweet orange juice. Nice flavor. There is a sweet citrus (orange maybe) flavor that mixes well with the pale malts and wheat. Refreshing brew.
