bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 16, 2006 Bomber. Pours a clear straw color with a lacy white head. Aroma is floral with a bit of nuts. Light body that somehow manages to convey a slightly creamy quality. The taste has some nuts, tofee, fruit and citrus. Some spice and grapefruit in the clean, lightly crisp finish. Great taste for a premium lager, I was about ready to give up on this style after trying a couple that tasted like the finest cardboard. Super sessionable hot summer day beer. ROGUE (621), Newark, Delaware, USA Jul 10, 2006 A nice golden color with thin head. Tastes like your normal run of the mill lager but with a little extra hoppy bitterness. O.K. but not great, easy drinker.
Ughsmash (3981), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jul 6, 2006 Bomber. Poured a clear straw golden with a well-retained cap of white head. Nose was of sourdough bread, hints of lemon, pale malts, and a mild dose of floral... quite pleasant. Flavor picked it up a little bit and was a tad more intense and exciting... bready caramel, honey, and pils malts support a mild floral bitterness around the sides. Finish was of mild herbs, some lemon, and the bready malts. Lighter-bodied yet rather smooth. Very drinkable. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Jun 29, 2006 Rogue you SUCK! ...i bought this with good intentions after scoffing at the idea of a beer just 4 st.pattys day, well, it came down to this or shakespeare, not feeling like a stout i payed the SIX dollars for a bottle, real quick, no freakin head, below average smell, not to fizzy, kinda sour yet refreshing, better than bud light but why pay the extraordinary price to get this, rogue just wanted some extra money and i was dumb enough to buy this dime a dozen lager, Rogue, eat my balls!....is very drinkable but not for that much extra money, with the same amount of money i could have bought 3 heinekens, budwesiers, coronas whatver, but in the end a new beer i got to try that didn’t taste like complete shiet! lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA Jun 26, 2006 Medium bodied, with thick head. Not my favorite style, but this was smoother than most lagers I’ve had. A little floral hoppiness balanced with smooth amber malts. Slight caramel undertones compliments the mild apple flavor. Not great, but a very drinkable lager. BrockLanders (747), Panama City, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2006 Bomber. Bright gold color...big white head. This one is what it is....mild malt aroma...inoffensive malty flavor, more hops than most lagers...reasonable carbonation level. Nothing stands out, but maybe that’s a plus. piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jun 21, 2006 Bottled sample. Gold in colour with medium carbonation. Sweet malty aroma, with a touch of herbal hops. Flavor is again dominated by sweet malts, along with some bready and yeasty notes. Medium bitterness. A very average sort of beer. I found it a bit lacking in the hop department, and it could have been dryer. GirlyBeer (183), Biddeford, Maine, USA Jun 19, 2006 Pours the same color as a domestic american lager but with a tighter head that has excellent retention and some lacing. Smells like hops more than anything else. Slight floral flavor with a sweet maltyness. Somewhat sticky mouthfeel with a crisp finish. Similar mouthfeel to cider. Tasty, crisp, and drinkable, expecially when it’s hot out.
