DigitalMan (113), Idaho, USA May 4, 2009 Looks watery, tastes watery, feels watery. Beer should be wet, but not this wet. probstk (1007), Nepean, Ontario, Canada May 4, 2009 650 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. MR18/09.
App.: Clear, light golden with a fair white froth.
Aroma: Light fruitiness, some cereal and grain, light toasted malts, a bit of light grassy hops.
Palate: Medium body and medium carbonation.
Flav.: Less malty that the nose, a bit more grassy, slightly peppery hops, light fruitiness, some minerals; dry with a little bitterness.
Mild and straight-forward, a quaffer. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA May 1, 2009 Bomber. Pours clear gold with a one finger white head that leaves nice lacing. The nose is sweet grain, malt and light floral hops. The taste is grass, sweet malt and light hops in the finish. Medium bodied. Not great, but drinkable and very sessionable. Quevillon (1518), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Apr 28, 2009 Bouteille de 650 ml, acheté au LCBO de Rideau et King Edward (Ottawa), le 19 avril 2009. Blonde paille, petit collet. Taste is weak. Doesn’t live up to the other Rogue beers. jaymobrown (1343), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 27, 2009 Nice clean taste with a bunch of floral notes at the end. It has enough hops to balance out the malt. Not overly bitter, just a bit so. Smell reminded me of wet sidewalk. Some yeast flavors in there too. I quite liked this one. Really pale, clear yellow with an OK head. Lots of tiny, tiny bubbles. DerBiermeister (504), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Apr 25, 2009 Quality brew tasted on tap at J. Clyde in Birmingham. Its palate was interesting. Floral hoppy notes make this one a bit more interesting than your average lager. cyrenaica (435), Milton, Ontario, Canada Apr 23, 2009 650ml bottle
4.8% ABV
I tried this beer on March 28, 2008 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent reddish gold colour with a thin off-white head. The aroma was grainy malt, some floral hops, and a nutty tone. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and medium carbonation. The flavour was similar to the aroma, with the grainy notes a bit more dominant in the taste.
