Smells a bit grainy, with touches of mil citrus fruit, and a little corn in the back end of it as well. Smells like a lager. Tastes pretty much the same, grain, subtle hops, maybe a little orange zest, and corn all blend together. Pretty decent to drink on a hot day outside like I was, but certainly not full on flavor. Doesnt exactly make you want to come back for more. As far as premium lagers go, I guess it wasnt bad. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2005 Light peach in color. The Sterling hops bring forth a lovely floral and citrus scent, which match well with the other fruit elements (peach, pear). The flavor is fairly light overall, but what it does bring to the table it brings quite well. The hops are mellow, but still fruity and spicy and while the malt flavor is subtle, it’s still pretty silky and fruit filled. Very tasty. thegreenrooster (1853), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Pour is a golden with a small white head. Aroma is hard to detect some malts and a wheat smell. Flavor is bland and lager boring. Nothing really going on here and this is an average at best lager and that ain’t saying much. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 23, 2003 Hazy gold pour with minimal head, and very spotty lacing. Nose of citrus hops and malts. Hmm, lemons in the flavor along with sweet malts. Smooth palate and a lemony finish. Almost reminds me of a pilsener. Not bad, nothing to get excited about though. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

Sweet malts, alfalfa and straw in the aroma - nothing special. Mostly sweet with lightly toasty malts, more alfalfa and other herbal notes, a bit of lemon in the finish. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 6, 2005 Thin head. Reduces quickly but has great carbonation to keep a thin foam on top. Aroma of buttered corn, seaweed and malt. Color is a medium gold. Flavor is sharp. Little citrus and hops bitterness. Starts out creamy and malty and finishes dry and parched and hoppy/bitter. So-so.
