Swalden_28 (516), McKinney, Texas, USA Jul 22, 2008 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX.
Pours a hazy light orange/yellow with thick white head, nice retention. Aroma of pilsner and a faint floral. Flavor is obvious pilsner and a light spice hop, faint alcohol. Mouthfeel is full body with med-high car. Overall, not bad. ruinah (5), , Maryland, USA does not count Jul 19, 2008 This was a nice light crisp brew. It was a little cloudy which surprised me but had very little after taste and little hop aroma. I was thinking this would be more like an Irish Red but since it has Lager in the name, that makes sense. It’s not your typical lager but fairly easy to drink. zappafan99 (256), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jul 12, 2008 Thin white top on an active golden body.(Czech.pils yeast...wow no Pacman) Mild, carbonated lager with a light sweet/tangy finish. Good. Matchrocket (2), USA does not count Jul 8, 2008 Nice yellow color, and medium head. Light hop notes on pour. Very clean taste light taste. Wish I had a few more. bubbleflubber (640), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Jun 29, 2008 Deep blond pour with a large, foamy head that sticks to the glass, leaving chunky lace. A sweetish, pilsner grainy bouquet. Some indistinct citrus notes, sweet grains on the tongue, with some slightly herbal hues. A lightly bitter back mingles with the rest of the flavors. The finish lasts a while, but I wish it was drier. The lasting effervescence isn’t doing it for me. Soft carbonation levels don’t actually help the mouthfeel in this case. Usually, Rogue is pretty spot-on in my opinion, but this one doesn’t seem up to par with most of their line.
