On tap at the Sanctuary in Iowa City. The body was hazy dark gold with a white head. The aroma was strong pizza type herbs like oregano and fresh cut wood. The taste has some bread crust with some grapefruit rind. There was a strange bitter finish, kind of like apple core, but not that pleasant.

On tap at Barleys in Knoxville. Poured a clear gold color with a huge bubbly white head. Aroma is grassy with some bread and yeast. Flavor reflects the aroma. The bitterness stayed on the palate for quite a while. Good beer.

Bubbly golden beer with a fluffy head. Huge grassy hop aroma. Flavor is biscuity, bready, and very grassy. The bitterness is pretty big for a pils as there is a strong lingering grassy bitterness. Actually pretty damn bitter, and thats how I like it.

Had this on tap at the Summits near Stone Mountain. I asked the bar maid what type of beer is was since I had not heard about this. She said it was a really hoppy IPA. Coolness, I said. I’ll take one. Not really all that hoppy and, of course, not an IPA. Anyway, the appearance was OK - not much of a head. Aroma was slightly hoppy, but none of the citrus aroma. There was a decent amount of banana though. The mouthfeel was quite good. All in all a decent pilsner.

Clear golden with dense white head. Faint hop aroma and a dry with pine hop essence takes the lead over the malt profile. Not a top choice from one of the best breweries in the country.

On tap at the Flying Saucer in KC. Aroma: Very hoppy, citrus, flowery. Some pils malt. Appearance: Very clear light orange. Not a lot of haze. Two-finger white head that lasts forever. Lots of lace on the glass. Flavor: Nothing too complex. Pretty bitter, lots of initial hop taste as well as a lot of hop aftertaste. Sweet and fruity in the middle with a pils malt. Palate: Very smooth, medium carbonation. Overall: A great way to style a pilsener. Very drinkable and an enjoyable bitterness. Like I said, not too complex. Nothing special, but still very good.
