Commercial description Maierbock is a German-style Maibock made with Rogue's proprietary "PacMan" ale yeast-deep honey in color with a malty aroma. Rich hearty flavor and a well balanced finish. Maierbock is created from Northwest Harrington, Klages, Maier Munich and Carastan malts, along with Perle and Saaz Hops. The brewer markets this same or near-same product by more than one names. This can be the result of a brewer distributing this beer under different names in different countries, or the brewer simply changing the name, but not the recipe at different points in time.
