Pours nice golden with a hearty white head that disappears quickly, lively carbonation. In the smell there is a hint of breaded caramel, maybe a little citrusy? Taste is mostly sweet with a hint of bitterness that leaves the mouth quickly. Overall an 8.

Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub this beer poured a hazy dark amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was sour, tart and vinegary. The flavor was tart, bitter, sour and had a cider vinegar element. The finish was long, tart and vinegary. There must have been something wrong with the keg for this one. Ugh.

Yeasty aroma of barley malt and peat. There is a definite swampiness to it as well that I easily recognize from living in a marshy area. Immaculately clear orange, thick off-white head, some lacing. Tangy malt flavor with nothing in particular discernible. Clean throughout, relatively low IBUs Does not have the metallic qualities that are so often found in Maerzens, which I appreciate. No off flavors, but not terribly inspiring. Meh.

Bottle<b r>Pours a lackluster cheddar orange with a nose of straight-up mash tun. Flavor is clean, almost non-existent Sprite hops quickly tempered by a liquid mash tun air freshener. Watery mouthfeel. Feels half-assed at best.
