XS bottle. Pours deep amber. Big fruity, peach aroma. Taste is sweet peach, kind of jammy. Not bad and not what I expect fro ma scotch ale (which is good).

Pint on tap. Fantastic beer. Dark copper, clearish, no lacing. Great slightly sour aroma. Medium carbonation. Just warm and slightly alcoholic taste. Malty deliciousness in a strong beer? Yes, please!

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured an intense murkey plum red. no head. smelled nice very sweet and bitter. Taste is a caramel bomb, undrinkable finish. Most likely would have been better fresh.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep hazy copper from the bottle with little to no head or lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, boozy sweet middle, and a hint of bready grain on the end, flavor follows, lots of booze, less scotch and more sweet whiskey. Decent, but not sure itís worth the price.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy orange pour no head. Very sweet aroma candy like. Very sweet malt no hops grainy. Has a smooth grainy sweetness more like an Irish whiskey than a scotch.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Nip bottle from Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA
Vintage 2010, 2 years old
Brown color, with minimal head. The aroma is mild, of caramel, and already there are signs of oxidization. The mouthfeel is a bit oily, and the carbonation very low; some caramel flavor, some nutty accent; the quite evident oxidization and the very low bitterness donít help either.
I had similar Belgian beers, bottles that were 20-25 years old and still in better shape than this.
