3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer has a golden brown color. It has a mildly spicy aroma. It has a smoked spicy flavor. It is one of the most unique beers I have tired in a while.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught @ Christian Firtal, Odense. Pours slightly hazy darkish amber with stable light beige head. Clear aroma of fruit, caramel malt, and butter. Sweet flavour of malt, caramel and fruit, with sourish notes. Mild, acetic finish with biscuity notes. OK.

I’m surprised this doesn’t have higher ratings here. This is exactly what I’m looking for in a beer (today) -- bready, savory, spicy, and unique.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours orangey brown with off-white head. Smells malty, slightly spicy. Tastes medium bodied, slightly spicy, chilies, very smooth. Great pepper flavors without it taking away from the beer itself. Good chili beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep reddish-amber beer with a small white head that lingers. Peppery nose that tingles a bit with some underlying malty sweetness. Flavor is underwhelming though with some initial flavors of burnt honey, orange and light smoke that give way to a mild bitterness with not much else. No heat at all from the chipotle, which doesn’t seem to offer much beyond the aroma. Decent, but I was expecting something a lot more exciting and unusual than this.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from bottle to glass. Crystal-clear amber with thick off-white head. Aroma is smoky, floral, bready, pepper. Taste is primarily chipotle up front but is really well balanced with malt sweetness. Hops aren’t too noticeable but is followed by a subtle bitterness. Finishes with a CO2 bite and smoky chipotle that lingers. Overall, this is one of the best chili beers that I’ve ever tasted. Extremely well done and I really appreciate that the chipotle is so well integrated into the base beer and isn’t overpowering.

Appearance is brown hazy, touch of orange. aroma is a touch spicy and smokey, but the chipotle is not immediately apparent. flavor is a sweet malt, some peppery notes. Dry aftertaste. Not bad, but I was expecting a bit more.

Amazing beer - never thought malt and chipotle would work together but it does! Bottle pour at Rocket City Brewfest. Rich dark amber with a sturdy head, strong woodsy aroma with a hint of chile. Rich, malty flavor, slightly sweet with a nice light taste of chipotle. Really interesting combination.
