A dark pour with a light head. The aroma of chocolate, coffee, and light floral hops. A light bitter that is very creamy in texture. Porters are not my strong suit but I enjoyed it overall.

12oz bottle. Dark brown color, nice khaki head. Nice mix of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate aromas - some dark chocolate bitterness in the flavor.

Bottle pours deep brown with a tan head. Aroma shows notes of roast malt, dark chocolate, and coffee. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of caramel, dark fruit, and licorice. Overall body is moderate and finishes with dark chocolate/roast malt bitterness.

bottle. Pours a dark brown color with pretty big, creamy, frothy light brown head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, actually a little lactose. Flavor is dark chocolate, with a little bit of coffee in there imparting a very subtle bitterness. Medium bodied with low carbonation. Decent, well pretty good I suppose.

Bottle @ Hotelroom, Denver. Pours dark brown with a huge creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee. Taste of sweet milk chocolate, little coffee, blackcurrent, licorice. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation. Nice but nowhere near outstanding porter. 030311

Great tasting porter. I was expecting a more smokey presence but a little less a porter a more of a stout in some respect. Either way a good beer when you are looking for a heavier brew.

A very good porter. I don’t get as much of the Mocha flavor as the name would imply. Great aroma - smells rich and sweet. This is a great, drinkable porter.

Bottle best before August 2009. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a good-looking cappucino head. Aroma: sweet licorice, blackcurrants, chocolate. taste: licorice, the darkest wine gums, blackcurrants, chocolate, coffee, low bitterness. Medium-bodied with noticeable carbonation. Reminds me of Anchor Porter but with coffee added. Not as much coffee as expected though, perhaps much of that has disappeared with age.
