Very dark brown nearly black pour with tan head. Aroma of malts with some coffee and chocolate notes, as the mocha part implies. Very dark roasty taste, with some slight sweet undertones.

deep golden brown color, frothy, tan foam, roasty aroma, some spice and hop smell, no noticeable chocolate, but a smooth and slightly bitter flavor with a creamy texture and lingering bitterness to the finish

Pours a deep brown color with caramel colored head. Has an aroma of roast and chocolate with hints of hops underneath. Has a caramel sweet start with a nice hop layer and a great roasty, malty finish with notes of chocolate. Medium to creamy mouthfeel. Really like this one.

Dark brown with a hint of red. Thin head and a roasted malt nose. Well-balanced with a smooth entry and mouthfeel followed by coffee roastiness, dark chocolate, and a slight, pleasant bitterness.

nice deep roasty aroma, with chocolate milk, vanilla, and oak. pours dark brown with a fizzy dark beige head. flavor is mildly sweet with a small bite in the back and a hint of metal sharp texture, dry and a bit overcarbonated maybe.

Nearly opaque black pour with a thick mocha head. Hefty roasted malt aroma, offset by a little bit of bittersweet chocolate and hops. Metallic smell. Chocolaty flavor is quickly followed by a bittersweet finish fading into straight metal. This one is pretty badly oxidized. Second straight Rogue beer gone bad. Maybe it’s time to take a break from sampling them til I find a better beer store.
