Ruddy brown in color, a bittersweet balance of malt and hops with a light cream finish. Mocha Porter is made from Northwest Harrington and Klages; 135-165, 95-115, and 70-80 Crystal; Beeston Chocolate, Black, Munich and Carastan malts. Perle and Centennial hops.

Muddy dark color, looks like a porter. Good aroma. The mocha flavor was slight. Fairly sweet for the finish. Not too much personality in this beer, but still nice.

Dark brown/near black with a thick tan head. Smells like an APA, with hints of grapefruit and only a faint dark maltiness. Initial grapefruit flavors with following flavors of bittersweet chocolate, roasted barley and light coffee. Late finish is near sour with a hops bite that is a bit much for style.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2007 Very good. A little bitter, but pretty smooth. In color and thickness, this is just one step down from a stout, which is always a good thing.

Bottled. Good solid roasty porter. Didn't have enough mocha for my taste.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew pours a beautiful small dark brown head with bubbles of all sizes and a pitch black opaque body with some carbonation seen rising up the side of the mug. The receding head leaves behind a fair lacing. It has a mild malty/hoppy aroma with a slight coffee initial taste and a strong somewhat bitter coffee finish with a bite.

Rogue sure nows how to make a beer look good. This is ust as dark as their stout, but is lacking. THe only mocha flavor came up when I burped. Still a very nice brew

Pours with an opaque dark brown to black body topped by a medium thick lasting light brown head with a good amount of lace. Slightly sweet roasted coffee/chocolate aroma with a good balance of malt and hops. Roasted coffee and malt flavor with a slightly nutty hoppiness. The finish is smokey and hoppy. Full bodied and slightly dry with a slight tingle on the tongue.

Complex assortment of flavors. Kind of Foldgers meets Sanka at a monster truck rally, and they decide to get drunk. This porter goes well complimenting food. Dark rugged flavor, and not the least bit smooth. This beer's flavor has an attitude.

Well, who would have thought this beer smells of coffee. Chocolate is also in the mix of the aroma. Beer is darl, moderate creamy foam head. Flavor is bitter, with heavy malt tones throughout. Hops dont become present until the end, where it feels very bitter and thin.

Black appearance. Strong choccolate and coffee notes. A high quality beer. A little too bitter and heavy for me.
