3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Another nice brew from Rogue. Just the right amount of sweet and bitter to make this a balanced porter. It's on my buy again list.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great dark and rich color of beer and head. Not too sweet. Perfect amount of sweet chocolate, coffee taste with a bitter taste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light tan head dissipates quickly. Has a sweet aroma, but this one is dominated by a rich, bitter chocolate overtone. There is a slight, sweet malty undertone as the beer warms on the tongue. A rich alternative to sweeter porters (e.g., Anchor Steam Porter). Solid.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
- dark brown-black color, strong mocha-chocolate aroma, hints of alcohol; very strong mocha character – coffee and chocolate – bitter, roasted, and dry, a bit too much carbonation

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fairly dark for a porter with an off white head. Super chocolate aroma with a touch of fruit and citrus. Flavor is a bit of a let down (not as robust as the aroma except the especially bitter finish). Bitter finish is not so well done (overdone maybe or not sharp enough).

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark Brown, almost opaque beer under a beige head; mixture of large & small bubbles, and a slight haze due to a pour pore. I got some of the yeast in the glass. Aroma is sort of earthy hoppy; roasty and chocolate starts to come through as it warms, I do also get some caramel and burnt aromas as well. Flavor is roast grain, bitter dark grain(slightly acrid), but surprisingly not a lot of sourness from the dark grains. Well balanced but finishes dry and bitter with a hop flavor and burnt grain. Mouthfeel is dry and slightly astringent due to dark grain and hops. Carbonation is low and body is a little light. Not a beer I'd care to drink more than one or two of, but interesting enough to try more than once.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I found it thin and lacking those intangibles that make up really good porters. The slight bitter undertones did not smooth out as it warmed. Not bad but certainly not great

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
First, the appearance of this beer is simply wonderful. Just looking at it adds a great deal to the experience and anticipation. The aroma seems a little thin and lacking, however. The flavor is nice, and goes down fairly easy. I had hoped for a little more *umph* from the flavor, but it's still good. A nice beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice deep dark porter with a slight hint of roasted malt coffee. Certainly not overbearing on the coffee, rather very tasty. Creamy and smooth with a nice bitter taste. Definitely a roasted flavored porter. Robust and bold.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This was not as impressive as I thought it would be. A bit too hoppy for a porter, but the coffee accents were a nice bit to the beer.
