4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black coffee, movie malt balls aroma, a nice medium-bodied middle palate balance of hops and malt, finishing clean and surprisingly lighter than I expected. At 5.1 ABV, this is a session porter to enjoy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft @ BeerTemple. Pours a very dark, almost black beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma is mostly chocolate and caramel with a slight touch of mocha and coffee. Flavour is mildly bitter with sweet chocolate notes. Mocha is there and noticeable in the sweeter side of this beer. Medium short, slightly sweet aftertaste. Quite nice actually.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Off white brown head poured at flying saucer. Molasses, coffee aroma. Good bitterness balanced well with the malt. If you're looking for a good roasted coffee and nutty porter this is not the one. However for a bitter porter with decent malt this is good. Malty and sweet at the beginning and long bitter aftertaste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle on the train from Hereford to Inverness, cheers to DW, 18/10/13.
Mid black with a big old light tan head that retains well - this porter is pleasing on the eye.
Nose is light roast, brown sugars, cocoa, not getting much coffee from it though.
Taste comprises light roast, cocoa, faint coffee strains, molasses, brown sugars, leather.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate.
An ok drinkable porter, not too much depth though.
