12 oz. bottle. Certainly not the best porter I've ever had by any stretch of the imagination. It poured out a deep, dark brown color, with a decent tan colored head. Faded to curtains of lace down the side of the glass. Aromas are mostly of roasted malt. Not too much in the way of hops aromas here. Has a funky Belgian smell to it also. Tastes ok, nothing to write home about. Smooth and coating on the palate. Sharp hops tang at the finish. It's an average porter in my book, but I've had better.

Has a nice roasted coffee aroma mixed with a sweet chocolate. Very nice espresso taste and smoothness. Perfect blend of bitter and sweet.

It looks muddy with a fine head. Mild coffeeish aroma. The flavour is a little thin with notes of coffee and hops. A decent brew.

Muddy dark color, looks like a porter. Good aroma. The mocha flavor was slight. Fairly sweet for the finish. Not too much personality in this beer, but still nice.

Dark brown/near black with a thick tan head. Smells like an APA, with hints of grapefruit and only a faint dark maltiness. Initial grapefruit flavors with following flavors of bittersweet chocolate, roasted barley and light coffee. Late finish is near sour with a hops bite that is a bit much for style.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2007 Very good. A little bitter, but pretty smooth. In color and thickness, this is just one step down from a stout, which is always a good thing.

Bottled. Good solid roasty porter. Didn't have enough mocha for my taste.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew pours a beautiful small dark brown head with bubbles of all sizes and a pitch black opaque body with some carbonation seen rising up the side of the mug. The receding head leaves behind a fair lacing. It has a mild malty/hoppy aroma with a slight coffee initial taste and a strong somewhat bitter coffee finish with a bite.

Rogue sure nows how to make a beer look good. This is ust as dark as their stout, but is lacking. THe only mocha flavor came up when I burped. Still a very nice brew

Pours with an opaque dark brown to black body topped by a medium thick lasting light brown head with a good amount of lace. Slightly sweet roasted coffee/chocolate aroma with a good balance of malt and hops. Roasted coffee and malt flavor with a slightly nutty hoppiness. The finish is smokey and hoppy. Full bodied and slightly dry with a slight tingle on the tongue.
