A decent offering, well worth the money and i’d possibly get it again. Just didn’t knock my socks off. Great mocha flavor, cocoa, really well balanced, not as rich as i was hoping, but far more drinkable than expected.

355ml bottle. Pours deep brown with a tinge of ruby red in the light. Tan medium head, well retained throughout. Mocha, dairy milk and sweet malt aromas overlying a touch of citrus hop zestiness. Sharp bitterness and hop flavours balance well with the medium and chewy body of roasty, light chocolate and mocha flavours. Seemingly medium carbonation, with bitterness lingering through for a seemingly medium-dry finish. Very nice from Rogue Ales as usual.

Bottle. Dark dark brown with smallish tan coloured head. Subtle aromas of coffee and milk chocolate. Flavours are much the same with plenty of sweetness upfront from the offset by a little bitterness near the end from some roasted malt and hops. Nice beer

Pours a dark brown with a lasting tan head. Tastes was medium bitter with a raisiny aftertaste. Aroma was bready with light hops. Overall an above average Porter, was hoping for better...

Aromas of coffee, grain and some oatmeal. A nice balanced bitterness with flavors that are malt heavy, notes of caramel, chocolate and coffee. Finishes out nicely. Overall an enjoyable porter.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2010 http://patricksbeer.blogspot.com/2010/06/rogue-ale really love this beer. The pour is deep black with a finger or so of tan creamy head. Aroma is nutty, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. The mocha is more prevalent in the taste. A nice porter.

Delivers beautifully on aroma. Nice smoky malts, mocha and dark, bitter chocolate. The front palate mimics the aroma. Middle palate drops away disappointingly though. It finishes with a nice lick of bitter malt and hops. Probably a tad expensive for how much it actually delivers.
