Fluffy tan head, lots of little dimples in the foam. Color is chocolate brown. Opaque with light at the edges. The head flattens out but stays creamy. Dual aromas of semi-sweet chocolate, as well as bitter burnt coffee beans. Great balance with dark grapes and raisins. A real smokyness. Excellent. Hints of tobacco and licorice. Leathery, chalky flavor. Smooth mild chocolate taste. Coffee at the back end. Like a mocha coffee with alcohol. Nicely done. The feel is creamy, chewy and chalky. For comparison’s sake, has a consistency similar to a Guinness. It’s a smoky, bittersweet beer. Chalky, substantial and very nice.

355 mL bottle. Coca-cola colour with a nice beige head. Smells like a porter with some black coffee and something metallic tacked on the end. Flavour begins thin and metallic, but finishes quite full, with coffee and roast, and a little chocolate milk.

Nice strong aroma when poured. Creamy head that hangs around for a bit. Flavor is dry, but that’s to be expected from Rouge I guess. Hints of chocolate and toasted malts. For the pitiful section of porters in MS this is probably one of the best here

Well, I had high hopes but this is no where near the Stone Porter or Flying Dog’s Porter or the Porter from Smutynose. I like Rogue but not for a porter.

Bottle pours deep brown, big sudsy head...smell of dark chocolate and cherry...taste is kind of dry, but sweet...somewhat flat and bland in my opinion...this bottle may have sat too long.
