Decent porter. Coffee taste is there, a bit off but still pleasant. Not a bad beer, you can knock back a bunch of them without them weighing you down, solid brew

Bottle at the Nook. Poured dark brown with a thick tan head that was lasting and left good lace. Sweet chocolate aromas with a hint of hops. The flavor turned it around being mainly hoppy with grass and citrus with a light malt background. Medium body and mild bitterness. Nice hoppy porter!

12 ounce bottle from Guido’s in Champaign. I had this at lunch on my college graduation day. Pours a deep brownish black color with reddish tints around the edges and a very small white head. The aroma consists of coffee and some bitter chocolate. The taste is along the same lines with a bitterness in the background. Overall a decent brew, but I have had much better porters than this one...

Pours a very dark reddish brown, no light gets through when held up to the light. The head is tight and tan. The flavor is faint but nice with a bit of vanilla and some coffee. The flavor is nicer with some good nuttiness and tons of good bitter coffee character, very roasty and enjoyable until a apple and butter flavor showed it’s self in the back ground, just strong enough to be annoying. The palate is creamy and the beer is enjoyable overall, I’d like to try it again to see if I like it better the next go around.
