Tasted through a twelve ounce bottle. Aromas of mocha come the bottle. First off the tongue is the coffee flavors with a hint of chocolate. The finish is slightly bitter.

bottle at home. black color, small coffee colored head. smells roasty malty, some sweetness, caramel, light fruit notes. light body, rather bubbly carbonation, light but bubbly mouthfeel. tastes lightly sour, some roasty malt, light sweetness. medical malty roasty finish. dont like this one too much, taste is rather medical and lacking, BB says 10/2015.

12oz bottle from Lacey Spirits. Pours a thin brownish/black color with a thick frothy dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt, caramel, old coffee, and some vanilla. Taste is earthy, with notes of bitter black coffee, chocolate, and caramel. Had low hopes after the aroma, but taste is pretty solid.

Appearance: pours with a smaller tan head, the beer is a very black color and it's really hard to even see any color on the edges Aroma: strong coffee, chocolate, Taste: coffee, moderate sweetness, lighter bitterness, Palate: average carbonation, medium mouthfeel, bitter coffee aftertaste Overall: a solid porter, leans more to the sweet side than the bitter side but still not overly sweet, I like it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer starts fresh and malty-roasted. Fresh and smooth. Hints of sourness, dry and malty, nice roast. The bitterness is not too intense, but nice. Dark dry roast in the aftertaste. Nice but not too deep.
