Bottle at Førtito Bar og Bowling @ Tour de Østfold RBNG-14. Near-black brown body, small off-white head. Nose is chocolate, mocha, bread and hints of nuts and nougat. Taste is chocolate, dry dusty mocha tones, caramel and hints of bitter herbs, cold coffee and grains. Medium body and carbonation. Nice chocolate-mocha stout from Rogue.

Very strong bitter roasted coffee taste. Very dry on finish. For me missing a touch of sweetness. The aroma was quite weak. Althought I like porters and stouts, this is not my kind of beer.

Pen & Paper Log (Nov 2012) Aroma - is full of roasty malt, coffee, and caramelized sugars Appearance - the body is black and opaque, the head is pronounced 2" and tan. Head reduces and dapples the glass with lacing. Taste - the taste is coffee and roast, with additional properties such as caramelized sugars, licorice, and some nuttiness. Palate - body is full, the texture creamy, the carbonation is appropriate for the style, the finish is roast astringent and very dry.

Taste: medium bitterness, low/medium sourness and low sweetness. Palate: thick smooth texture, light/medium body, average carbonation, dry lingering coffee, bitter, sour finish. Comments: Tasty and glass lace.

Dark brown/ruby colour, medium and stable head. Intensive aroma of coffee and roasty note. Taste is slightly sweet on the beginning and dry on the finish. Well balanced porter. Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Well done!

Pours a dark black colour with some head, but it stays for a while. Aroma is slightly sweet with some caramel notes. Taste is very light , more sweetness. Surprising lack of mocha. Ends in a slightly bitter and hoppy taste with the mocha finally coming out in the tail end of the aftertaste. Slightly disappointing, but still a quality brew.

Bottle @ home shared with Thompson after he crushed and demolished me in multiple poker games. Thanks Thomas my good friend. You bastard. Anyway, dark brown color, dark red glow coming through when held into the light, medium sized light brown color that diminishes quite quickly. Aroma of malts, dark malts, mocha, dark chocolate. Taste malts, caramel, dark malts, mocha, chocolate, bitter. Medium body and carbonation.

Light mocha aroma and taste with bitter chocolate aftertaste. Light body and carbonation. Maybe a bad batch but nothing special or even worth remembering.
