Bottle. Aroma and taste are toast, caramel, char and coffee in the finish. Slightly metallic. Thin body. Not bad.

Piwo butelkowe. W zapachu wanilia, likier wiśniowy, kawa. Kolor czarny bursztyn z lekkimi refleksami, piana drobna, beżowa, siedzi nisko i trzyma się do ostatniego łyka. W smaku nieco wodniste, jest kawowa kwaskowatość, biszkopt. Piwo słodkie w smaku, goryczka na niskim poziomie, gładki kremowy finiszu. Wysycenie średnie do wysokiego, trochę za wysokie. Dobre piwo ale niczego nie urywa.

Roasted barley with hints of vanilla. You would say it is more alcoholic than what it really is, which says a los in its favour

12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford City. Appearance: finger brown head, dark brown color, light lacing, opaque. Aroma: chocolate, roast grain, decent coffee notes, decent citrus hops underneath everything else. Palate: full body, average carbonation, slightly oily texture, light bitter finish. Taste: sweet chocolate into decent coffee, with astringent roast grain and coffee bitterness coming on afterwards. Overall, very nice coffee porter.

Mørk med medium/lavt høyde på skummet. Aroma av sjokolade og mørk malt. Smaken er av sjokolade og litt kaffe. Noe lakris? Mildt bitter. Medium konsistens. Kaffe og noe bitterhet i ettersmaken. OK.

pours unclear, almost cloudy pale brown with a nice light beige cap, some lacing. softly roasted maltiness, sweetish nutty and fruity malts, very mineral, almsot metallic, hint of sweetness- lactose and maple syrup, coffee grinds, hint of smoke. light carbonation, light body - oily, semi-sweet nutty-grassy finish. kiln coffee malts seem to add depth and interesting flavors but overall it is just a-o-k.

Dus mwoah... Wel ok.

I have always enjoyed this porter. The most recent formulation with rogue farms ingredients seems to have lost some of the accentuated mocha characteristics of this beer. That being said the aroma delivers well hopped toasted bread and mocha characteristics. The taste follows the same with a touch of fruitiness. the mouthfeel needs more malt and less hop crispness which again I feel was more balanced in its original formula. Still an excellentporter.

Where do you smell or find any chocholate notes in this beer??? one of the worst porters tested. flat co2, flat taste boring..Maybe the whole crate was left out in the sun while in shipment across the Atlantic on a raft. 0,33 bottle from Vinmonopolet
