This is a nice porter, the aroma is dark fruits, coffee and chocolate. The taste is noticable toasted malt followed by cocoa and coffee with a bit of sweetness, before a mildly and pleasing bitter finish that is quite dry. The mouthfeel is a little thin but also nicely creamy. I like this porter a lot!

Dark brown, tan head. Aroma of biscuity malt with cocoa, bittersweet chocolate, light roast. Aroma is pretty restrained. Flavor: dry, biscuity malt, baker’s chocolate, nutty notes, very light roast, fairly dry finish. Clean, dry, with cocoa notes.

A great Porter, no doubt. Pours a dark brown with an off white head, good lacing, good looking brew. A coffee and mocha aroma, creamy mouthfeel, lots of roasted malts. Mild bitterness is there. It’s a solid porter.

Bottle at home. Dark brown with thin tan head, no lacing. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and espresso bean aroma, a bit stout-like. Flavor follows the nose, a little thin in the mouthfeel... A fine porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Pours dark (red) brown with a tan head. Aroma of hops with coffee, chocolate, and malts. Mocha/coffee taste, but a bit thin and watery. I was hoping for a bit more.

A very chocolate aroma. A redish dark clear brown with a nice light brown head. Taste of sweet and bitter chocolate, very nice. Palate is ordinary. Overall, good.

From notes verbatim on 10/8/10 A: Deep brown, spotting sheet of cream over beer. No visible rays of light. S: Spicy cascade hops (surprise), touch of cocoa over the hoppy porter backbone. T: Reminds me of leftover espresso grain that has been left behind. Not good to me. M: Wish it was creamier or less combative on my tongue. I almost want to add sugar. D: I don’t care for this as a mocha beer. Need to tone down the carbonation. Serving type: bottle 03-09-2011

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Opaque, brown-black with a 1-finger tan head and excellent lacing. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, milk chocolate and an almost hop-like bitter fruit aroma. Taste of mocha coffee, cocoa, roasted malt, sweet milk chocolate and fruity hops. While the hops are partially masked by the chocolate and coffee flavors, they still add fairly strong bitter flavor for a porter. Medium body and medium/high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown, almoust black with a three finger high head. Nose: Coffee, chocolate and malt. Taste: Roasted malt, espresso, cocoa, raisin and hops. A light, watery, body with small amount of carbonation. Easy drinking porter that I like!
