4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AWMiller (476) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 28, 2011
What a heavenly scent one receives when this brew is first opened up! One of THE best American porters I have yet to try! Loads of chocolate and coffee/espresso in this brew. Let it sit out of the ‘fridge for an hour or so and enjoy the more robust flavors and scents! (Brews of this style intensify as they warm to room temperature!) This brew is absolutely superb!
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 burg326 (618) - Florida, USA - SEP 15, 2011
12 ounce bottle poured dark brown, with aromas of coffee, chocolate, and hazelnnuts. Taste follow aroma, and seemed kind of light bodied for a porter, real easy to drink.

Aroma of nuts, coffee grounds and iron. Pours deep brown with a substantial head. Tastes of malt, light coffee and hint of nuts. Mouthfeel is light and finishes with a roasty coffee taste. Love it.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nik925 (584) - California, USA - SEP 11, 2011
Quite pleased with this porter. To have ’mocha’ in the name implies to me that there is some coffee involved, which I didn’t taste, and apparently wasn’t there. Oh well. A very solid, well made porter but nothing that made it stand out from the pack.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boliv (964) - New York, USA - SEP 6, 2011
Bomber. Pours dark brown with a nice-sized brown head. Aromas of chocolate, light coffee/latte, and some hazelnut notes. The flavor is sweet chocolate and some coffee, with light grassy bitterness creeping in. Smooth, although a little thinner than I’d like for a porter. Good. [788]
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 AshtonMcCobb (779) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 5, 2011
1 pint 6oz bottle. Pours dark coffee, almost black with a nice head. The nose is confusing - really full of pine, extreme bitter grapefruit and burnt coffee on the end. The taste has a fruity start, a strange middle section which is raisins and malt, then coffee on the end. The palate is big at the start, then it gets watery in the middle and a bitter/hoppy nice finish. Overall, not a porter in my opinion, more a black IPA.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JohnRMurdoch (1390) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - SEP 5, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 6, 2011 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Hoppy aroma. Very dark brown colour, good head. Spicy coffee chocolate flavour. Sharp with sweet aftertaste. Not a typical porter but a nice beer nevertheless.
