s_creigh (201), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Dec 22, 2007 Pors a deep brown color. Looks like a cola in the glass. No head at all. Almost no aroma. Taste is sort of like a dry wine. Coffee notes in the finsh. Just OK in my opinion.

Sweet malt beginning developing a brown suger flavor in the middle. Flavor is obviously chocolaty, with a touch of smoke, and some nice coffee, and roasty malt flavors. Aromas of burnt caramel, toast, white chocolate, hint of vanilla...Medium body, lactose feel, good effervescence, strong bitterness, chalky finish, slightly salty... Strong roasted malt aroma, a hint of chocolate. The palate is a bit minerally, the finish is long, with the chocolate building more and more. Got better as it warmed. Pyrozoid (190), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Oct 4, 2008 (Bouteille de 355 ml - Dégusté avec french tickler) Biere de couleur noir avec un moyen collet tres collant de couleur brun pale. Odeur de chocolat, un peu de café, alcohol et un peu de sucre. Gout de blé, cerise et un semblant de vin rouge.
