3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark chocolate color with a tawny head. Caramel aroma makes this an inviting brew. THe palate explodes with coffee and overcooked caramel but leaves a strong bitterness on the back of the palate, a bit too intense even for a porter.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Average beige head with moderate retention. Clear very dark brown colour (black appearance). Aroma is dried fruits (prune), chocolate and brown caramel. Taste has hop presence, floral, roasted malt, some fruitiness, liquorice hint and some diacetyl sign. Watery palate, medium body and medium carbonation. Quite a good porter.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Decent Porter but nothing much out of the ordinary. It has an aroma of hops and chocolate and is not too outspoken.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This was my first introduction to Rogue beers, and after trying many, is one of my favorite "standard price beers" from them. Has a very dark brown-near black appearance. Not super heavy, but I wouldn’t call it a thin either. Almost like a stout. Tastes of chocolate, little bit of caramel, and little bit of coffee. I didn’t notice the coffee flavor as much as some other coffee/mocha beers that I’ve tried. It’s been a while since I bought a 6-pack of this, as I’ve been trying other things. But after some trial and error, I’ll probably be picking a 6 up of Mocha Porter soon.............................................. 3/30/10- As good as I remembered. Coffee definitely noticeble but not overwhelming. Still one of my favorites by Rogue, and one of my favorite overall porters.

Dark brown with light brown/off-white firm head. Aroma of hops, dark chocolate, with caramel and coffee notes. The same are flavours with well balanced maltiness and bitterness. Good stuff.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great for a light porter, rich chocolate flavour, but still easy going. Sessional, and went great with an indian feast!

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20
Strong coffee flavor with a stiff bitterness. Also has an unpleasant and overpowering metallic flavor. Not awful but there are much better/smoother mocha porters out there.
